All of us consider our work at Dalsey Adaptives a vocation. It is a mission. We are fulfilled by our work, knowing how many people’s lives have been improved by our products.
While the See-Green® Insertion System is our flagship product, it’s just the beginning of what drives us: helping people live better with adaptive tools that make a difference.
Today, we’d love to take you behind the curtain and introduce you to the team that brings See-Green® to life. Because behind every glowing green light is a passionate group of people who genuinely care about your success.
The Spark: John Dalsey, Inventor & Founder
Meet the mind behind the light. John is the heart and soul of Dalsey Adaptives, and the original co-inventor of the See-Green® Insertion System. What started as a creative solution in his workshop has become a trusted tool for tens of thousands of users across the world.
John has a diverse background, comprised of several trades after college at the University of South Florida, including as a machinist. He later earned a law degree from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, one of the top IP law schools in the country. In his products liability practice, he enjoyed working with expert witnesses to help determine the technical issues on product failure cases even more so than the courtroom work. John has a long history of thinking outside the box and creative problem solving. He has two patents issued in handicap assistive devices, and has a patent application pending for the latest See-Green Light Post System, about to be produced.
Most greats ideas start with the need to solve a problem, and a “what if?” For our founder, John Dalsey, that moment came 20 years ago while helping a friend with dexterity issues who was struggling with scleral lens insertion, even after hours of training. John and his friend embarked on a several-month-long journey to find a solution to enable his independent lens insertion.
By persistent experimentation and trial and error, John and his friend discovered the solution of light guided alignment.
And just like that, the idea of a light-guided scleral lens insertion system was born. John developed the original See-Green® prototype with the help of clinicians and doctors at Boston Sight, who were instrumental in helping the development of instructions, design, brightness and color of the light. Combining his research and problem-solving skills as an attorney, and his machinist background (and a whole lot of empathy), it wasn’t long before patients, doctors, and clinics were asking for more.
“The See-Green® wasn’t created in a boardroom. It was built by listening to real people who needed a better way. That’s still what guides every decision we make.”
John is happiest when in our FDA registered shop and working on the machines and soldering stations.

Small Team, Big Hearts
We’re a small, close-knit team based in Massachusetts--and yes, manufacture, pack and ship every See-Green® unit by hand (with care). From design to customer service, every member of the Dalsey Adaptives team wears many hats.
Let’s meet a few of the folks who help keep the lights (literally) glowing:
Naomi Fritz– Operations, Communications, Support
Naomi is the engine that keeps Dalsey Adaptives running smoothly. From answering customer emails and updating the website, managing social media and balancing the books, fulfilling orders and coordinating partnerships with nonprofits: she wears many hats and keeps everything moving forward.
She’s also the friendly voice behind many of your support experiences. Whether you’re discovering See-Green® for the first time or have been with us for years, Naomi works to ensure every interaction feels personal, helpful, and genuinely human.
Before joining Dalsey Adaptives, Naomi spent years working in hospitality, where she developed a strong instinct for customer service and problem solving. She brings that same attentiveness and care to her work with See-Green®, helping ensure that every customer feels heard and supported. She also has a background in Emergency Medical Technician training and photography, bringing a unique set of skills to her position.
“I love being in contact with customers, especially when they tell us how See-Green® has helped them regain their independence. It reminds me why we do what we do.”

Lou Kornet – Business and Strategic Planning
Lou is our go-to for all things outreach. As Head of Business and Strategic Planning, he builds and nurtures the relationships that help keep Dalsey Adaptives growing, whether it’s connecting with clinics, managing vendor partnerships, or making sure See-Green® reaches the people who need it most.
Lou keeps the team on track to work toward our long-term strategic goals.
He’s the behind-the-scenes connector who helps bridge the gap between our product and the world, always with a keen eye for opportunity and a deep understanding of our mission.
Lou attended the MIT Sloan School of Management. Afterwards he was the COO of a company partnering with trade associations, professional societies, and nonprofit organizations to manage operations, strengthen leadership, and build community.
“What I love most is hearing from the professionals who use See-Green® to change lives. Whether I’m talking to a vendor or an eye care specialist, I’m reminded how far a simple idea can go when it’s in the right hands.”

Sherry Gemme– Lead Technician
Every great innovation needs someone who can bring it to life with precision and heart. For Sherry, that’s been her calling since she joined See-Green® in 2018. What started as a job quickly became a passion: she often describes it as “the best job ever.”
Sherry holds a master’s degree in psychology from Bay Path University, and her natural empathy shines through in the care she brings to her work. She understands how important independence is for the people who rely on See-Green®, and she takes pride in helping make that possible.
Her dedication was especially evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she showed up day after day to keep operations running. Today, Sherry continues to ensure every product meets the highest standard, bringing precision, reliability, and heart to everything she does.

Why We Do What We Do
We’ve heard from thousands of customers over the years—from people living with keratoconus and severe dry eye and ocular surface disease, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, corneal degenerations, to low-vision users and their caregivers. Their stories inspire us every day.
“This product gave me back my independence.”
“My patient cried when she realized she could finally do it herself.”
“You’ve changed the way we train new lens wearers.”
These messages fuel our passion. Every single See-Green® system we send out is more than a product to sell. It’s a tool for confidence and self-reliance.
What's Next for Dalsey Adaptives?
We're always working on new ways to support the low-vision and adaptive needs community. We are within weeks of launching a new streamlined, easy-to-use, patent pending scleral lens insertion system.
Whether that’s improving our current design, developing new tools, or partnering with clinics to better serve patients, our goal remains the same:
To make life better for our customers, one innovation at a time.
Say Hello!
Have a question? A suggestion? A success story? We’d love to hear from you. As a small business, we read every message and often share them with the whole team (they make our day!).
