Most users have a typical level of vision impairment and dexterity but find that the green light gives them the alignment they need to insert the lens quickly without stress or experiencing the occasional misaligned and painful insertion.
-
When you focus your eye on the green LED light, which is further out than the lens, it helps reduce stress and prevent flinching and involuntarily darting away of the eye.
-
The stand allows the lens to be filled with saline prepped for insertion without the worry of unsteady hands.
-
The user can get close to the lens and have a short distance to lift the plunger to the eye and have more reliable, repetitive success centering the lens and avoiding bubbles. Those with unsteady hands find the stands essential.

Helpful to any patient, but essential for those with poor dexterity or unsteady hands

● Used by those with steady hands and who can accomplish the lid spread with one hand.
● Focus on light prevents flinching of the eye and guarantees proper centering of the lens to prevent misaligned insertions.
● Helpful training tool for doctors and technicians. Reduces anxiety for first time insertions. Green light gives a positive psychological message. Green light means it’s safe to go.
● Helpful to any patient.
● We are told by many customers that they can insert the lens with their fingers or a standard plunger, but that they use this because they can insert their lens with more confidence and get out the door faster in the morning. Others say it prevents the occasional misaligned insertion which can be painful.
● Some clinics and practices dispense more of these than the See-Green System with stand.
Meet the Team
At See-Green®, we often say we’re in the clarity business. But clarity doesn’t just come from our green light, it comes from the people behind it. Our small, dedicated team at Dalsey Adaptives works every day to make scleral lens insertion easier, safer, and more empowering for patients.
Every See-Green unit is hand-made and inspected in Massachusetts, and every order is shipped with care. We don’t just manufacture medical devices, we create adaptive tools that change lives. And we do it because we care about the people who rely on them.

The Spark: Inventor & Founder
John Dalsey
Every idea starts with a problem. For John, that problem appeared nearly 20 years ago while helping a friend with mobility challenges insert a scleral lens. His question: “What if there was a way to show the eye exactly where to go?”
That question became the See-Green light-guided inserter, developed in collaboration with BostonSight® clinicians. Today, John still oversees every stage of product development, from prototyping improvements to final assembly, always guided by real patient needs.

The Steady Hand: Lead Technician
Sherry Gemme
Every great innovation needs someone who can bring it to life with precision and heart. For Sherry, that’s been her calling since she joined See-Green in 2018. What began as a role quickly became a passion: she often says it’s “the best job ever.”
Her commitment became especially clear during the COVID-19 pandemic, when her unwavering dedication kept operations moving day after day. Today, Sherry continues to ensure every product meets the highest standard, bringing skill, consistency, and genuine care to everything she touches.

The Engine: Operations & Support
Naomi Fritz
From answering emails to keeping the books in order, Naomi wears about six hats, and still makes it look easy. She’s often the voice our customers hear when they reach out, making sure every interaction feels personal and helpful.
“I love hearing from customers! Especially when they tell us how See-Green has helped them gain back independence. It reminds me why we do what we do.”

The Connector: Marketing & Communications
